From what I’ve seen here on CAF and the articles I’ve read. They’re sensational and not a fan of Pope Francis. They’re on the far right. The National Catholic Register is more accurate. So is Catholic News Agency.

It seems there is a video. Does anyone know the language they are speaking?

A translation is given on the site, but who knows how accurate it is.

Whenever the Pope is on an airplane he usually has a lot to say to the press. This week the journalists can look forward to plenty of opportunities to grill him about his reasons for honoring an abortion campaigner. At this moment (lunchtime on Monday) he is somewhere above the Atlantic Ocean, on his way to Chile, a 16-hour flight. He will be spending all this week in South America, with no fewer than eight short flights planned within Chile and Peru. “I have a question about that Dutch lady, Holy Father. … Yes, that one, the one who got the award …”

It’s true though. Many sources confirm it. She has a video confirming it.

Pray for the Pope.

Jimmy Savile, a prominent British showbiz celebrity who was posthumously discovered to have been an active pedophile for many years, was also honored with the same Equestrian Order of St. Gregory the Great. After his death, when the disclosures were made, Federico Lombardi, then the Vatican spokesman, said the Holy See “is deeply saddened that a person who has been soiled in this way could in his lifetime have been proposed for an honor by the Holy See, which in the light of recent information should certainly not have been bestowed. As there does not exist any permanent official list of persons who have received papal honors in the past, it is not possible to strike anyone off a list that does not exist.

“The names of recipients of papal honors do not appear in the Pontifical Year Book and the honor expires with the death of the individual.”

Looks like she received the award because she was part of a delegation visiting the Vatican, not because of her work…

As I opend the thread I said to myself “bet this is LifeSite”. Please, do not read this source. They are not reliable.

Well, if this is indeed true, perhaps they need to reconsider this “standard diplomatic practice” going forward in the future. Pope Francis has in the past discarded other long held traditions and practices when it has suited his purposes; perhaps this can be the next one.

It’s LifeSite 😒 Find another source.
who cares where it is from? is it true or not?

put up proof that the story is false or misleading.

saying it is from so and so doesn’t make it false.

quite a few people are not fans of the pope.

like trump, he talks too much.

It’s simple sophistry to say “oh the award isn’t for her work.” Nonsense. She was honored…and that is scandalous.
