Interesting take on today’s Rush Limbaugh program.
Confused by the headlines non-Catholic Limbaugh makes spirited defense of “Capitalism”.
Wonders if the Pope has been mistranslated.
So even Rush at this point has been co-opted into debating the economics of capitalism.
Which is NOT the essence of the Pope’s document.
In fact, the critical WORD of the 50,000 “trickle-down” seems to me to be rather out of place. Read the below without it … and it makes as much sense. Maybe more so - in that would it just be the “trickle down theories” of capitalism that are being warned against - and the rest of Capitalistic theory then fine?
That highlighted in Blue above I took to be a personal counsel to Catholics to be unselfish and not spoiled by our personal prosperity to such an extent that we neglect to help those who need us.
Meanwhile this story took up a great deal of the Rush Limbaugh Show today (I didn’t hear it, but the show puts outs transcripts). After initial incredulity about the Pope’s surprising economic statement, Limbaugh revealed:
