CHRIST HIMSELF NEVER TOOK SUCH MEASURES.

If Pope Francis is truly and authentically a REAL disciple of Christ, he is NOT worried about shedding his blood. Not one iota…

Only the present day culture demands that he should. Which is very different from what Christ expects and demands. VERY DIFFERENT.
🤷

Christ never wore a cassock, never used a microwave, never flew in an airplane, never ate at Red Lobster, never went to college, never spoke into a microphone… so what?

In fact I think it is a perfectly rational and good for everyone to be worried about shedding one’s blood. It doesn’t mean that you won’t do it for a good reason if you have to.

Furthermore, would you say that if you are truly and authentically a real disciple of Christ, you’re not worried about shedding your blood? Well, I sure am worried about mine. I would be pretty scared.

I frankly find the somewhat glib attitude a bit selfish. As often as he is seen holding children and embracing people, he makes himself and his followers a target. It also need endangers the lives of his security, who likely have families, who are there to protect him.

I guess I don’t see what the Holy Father is trying to accomplish…

I somewhat agree with you HappyCatholic01.
The more I thought about it I also thought it seemed selfish.
The flock does not want to lose their new shepherd.
A death from natural causes would be sad enough but to die at the hands of an assasin is traumatic for everyone.
We have already had 3 Popes since the new century began.
Pope Francis is a shepherd to many and has endeared himself to many.I can understand him wanting to intermingle with the flock like Jesus did and not have to be confined to the Popemobile.
So maybe I am the selfish one.
