Speaker of the House John Boehner has extended an open invitation to Pope Francis to address a joint meeting of Congress, praising the Pope’s advocacy for the vulnerable.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat who is Catholic, joined the invitation.

I am VERY excited about this! No Pope has ever addressed the Congress, and this is a prize opportunity to evangelize in a place that needs it so very desperately.
 
May it please God that he does speak, and really socks it to them.
 
The amount of change in this nation to allow such an invitation to even be made is stunning.
