Hi, I recently read a lots of articles saying that Pope Francis is the last Pope before something BIG happens
What do you think about that? Many prophesized that he is the last pope…

I’ve also read a lot of articles that claimed eating lots of macarons won’t make me fat. None were reputable, however.

Christians have been prophesying the end of the world since the Early Church era.

My advice is to just live and be a good Catholic. Christ will come when he comes. And you’ll still be awakened for Judgement Day, so you won’t be missing anything if it wasn’t in your lifetime.

I think the History channel did a piece on tis last year with many ancient prophecies. It was interesting but never the less, entertainment.

Peace!!!

That would be cool… then finally someone will get to shout I KNEW IT…Told, I was right

Pope Francis can’t be the last Pope because I’m going to be the last Pope.

You heard it here first.

I am guessing the stuff you are reading is not produced by organizations in union with the Catholic Church. Why would you expect people on a Catholic website to find it credible?

Why do I have a feeling this is connected with the so-called “prophecies” of St. Malarky – I mean Malachi?

Note, I’m not badmouthing the actual St. Malachi, but I do not believe one bit he wrote these supposed prophecies about the Popes.

I believe Pope Francis will be the last Pope because the Christ will be returning soon and Jesus will take over the leadership of the church from Pope Francis.

I am sure you have a basis for this belief. Would u share it with us?

A lot of people believe that the Christ will return soon, not just me. My belief is not based any particular one thing, just on multiple things I have read as well as the current state of the whole world.

He didn’t. The Church views them as forgeries.

People have been saying that for 2000 years. During the Reformation 500 years ago a lot of Christians were convinced the End Times had arrived. Same thing happened a thousand years ago as the first millennium came to a close.

You mean the St Malachy prophecy - it would also mean the antichrist is here and working - there is only one space left at the Vatican for popes maybe there is something to it - my priest told me there is only one spot left but they could make more room. I have never been there I am going by what he said to me.

I don’t see anything so scandalous about Pope Francis as to suggest that he’s going to destroy the church or end the line of Saint Peter. There will be Popes after him, hundreds after him, I suspect.

It sounds like those articles are suggesting Pope Francis will herald the end of days. If that is the case, I’ll just say that I think trying to predict the Second Coming is a fool’s errand; the bible outright states that God alone knows the day and hour of that event.

It’s possible because he could live another 50 years and who knows what will take place in that time although I seem to remember a Pope (Pius ?) had a vision about a Pope of the same name so there could be another Pope Pius still.

May I ask you what articles? Were the articles published in reputable Catholic media or just some people with theories?
