False prophets abound. Always have. Always will.

Do not follow them.

When you see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven - that will be during the reign of the last Pope.

But when?

The history of the human race is evidence of that much. In the bible it says that there will be talk of miracles and all sorts, and people will travel to see them. We are warned not to listen.

I must respectfully disagree. In 33 A.D. mankind did not possess the ability to destroy the earth and all life on it. Now man has gained the means to fulfill the negative prophecies of the O.T. such as Isaiah 66:15-16 and Jeremiah 25:32-33.

It’s common knowledge that Fr. Arnold Wion was the true author and that he used the attribution to
St. Malachy as a cover to avoid being called up before the Roman Inquisition.

I am not aware that the Church has condemned Wion’s list of predictions. (Reference please.)
In 1942 Pope Pius XII made a tacit endorsement of them by selecting his own prediction to be the title of his autobiographical film; PASTOR ANGELICUS

The idea that Pope Francis is the last pope stems from an edited printing in 1624 of an original list of 113 predictions published in 1595. The 1624 version had only 112 predictions and Francis is number 112 on that edited list. It is not correct. 112 is not the right number.

I’m sure a widowed Catholic man could be and not a married man but what about a separated man?

Pius X’s name was Giuseppe Sarto. His first name is Italian for “Joseph.”
Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI is also a “Joseph.”
