Pope Francis: No sinner is ever beyond the love of God

Vatican City, Sep 11, 2016 / 08:37 am (CNA/EWTN News).- On Sunday Pope Francis said that God shows us, through parables, the merciful love of the Father, who rejoices over every sinful person who returns to him.

“The message of the Gospel today gives us great hope and we can summarize it thus: there is no sin into which we have fallen, from which, by the grace of God, we can not rise again; there is not an irretrievable individual, because God never ceases to want our good,” he said, “even when we sin!”

I was skeptical at first, and to a degree still am, but when I hear what the Holy Father -actually- says, I am more and more convinced he is the right pope for our time.

The world is in the state it is in because of a lack of love and the mercy which stems from it, I think the pope intends to fix that as best he can, even though, as all humans, he will make blunders on the way.
