Pope Francis on homosexuality: My position is "that of the Church. I am a son of the Church"

Saying “My position is that of the Church” instead of saying homosexuality is a significant potential impediment to serving as a priest creates at least, ambiguity and confusion.

That would only be if the Church’s teaching about homosexuality was ambiguous which it is not. The Church’s position is perfectly clear. The problem is that people want the Church to tell them lies instead of the truth.

Exactly. This is why the same questions get asked over and over on women priests, homosexuality, etc. When people get an answer they dont want, they dont accept the will of God and the Church and learn from it, they just continue to push for their own will. Lots of people would rather listen to their own lies, rather than the Truth.
