It may have been. Sex was probably discussed.

Reforms may be coming to the Church in the areas of sex.
The synod discussions were rather public and there were briefings even in the middle of the synod.

Can you show where masturbation was dealt with? Or why it would be discussed in a synod about family? Or are you just trolling around?

You will need to translate the page to english

“(Rome) The publication of the post-synodal letter is imminent. All the bishops of the world via e-mail from the Pontifical Council for the Family will be prompted to prepare the faithful and the public to the adoption of nachsyondalen letter of Pope Francis on Marriage and Family.”

“As La Croix , the daily newspaper of the French Bishops’ Conference reported comes the electronic notification of Curia Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, President of the Pontifical Council for the Family . He urged all bishops to convene a press conference - if possible everywhere at the same time, namely, simultaneously with the press conference in Rome - to present the post-synodal letter of Pope Francis about the family.”

I am not trolling. I think that it was most likely not discussed. I guess it would not be discussed in a family life synod. I think the Church needs to review it more though.

Why!?
And no, it was not discussed.

It is? That’s odd. The CCC seems clear. Where is the ambiguity. Do you think masturbation is holy?
If you read the Catechism, the passage seems very unclear when it refers to moral responsibility. I do not think masturbation is holy. I don’t want to hijack the thread, so I will end the topic right here.

It’s curious that for such a long awaited text, after two Synods, Cardinal Kasper has not read it. I presume he could have by now, but I could be wrong.
The only way Kasper would have read it is if the pope chose to make him part of the process. Kasper is retired and has no particular duties that would automatically include him as part of the drafting and/or review of the document.
