Its too bad that Kobe is dead. His spoken Italian could have been an assistance in the audience with the Pope.
Any shred of cred you believe you have is completely voided by the ad hominems, sarcasm and snark. Sorry but its not worth engaging with.It is hysterical how you completely gloss over my multiparagraph response towards the blindness of the casedemic.
Somebody has to stick up for the truth here.
The leader of the church should be seeking the truth in all matters. Not what is politacally and monetarily advantageous to the church’s position.
Willfully glossing over valid points is a sin of omission.
Are you glad the Pope speaks out on these issues without a mask?but I am glad the Pope persists in speaking out on these issues
As best I can tell, the Pope has protocols that he follows, like most public figures. He is often seen speaking without a mask, but I also see him wearing a mask when near the public and so forth. I hope he is getting good advice from his medical staff and following it.Are you glad the Pope speaks out on these issues without a mask?
(I support our Pope in choosing to not wear masks in the many cases he doesn’t.)

Bold mine.As best I can tell, the Pope has protocols that he follows
There’s a lot of legitimate reason why someone might not wear a mask but to reject the medical evidence on nothing but a principle of ‘my rights’ is rejecting the teaching of Christ. How about you Motherwit?
I am interested to hear what you think.
Are you glad the Pope speaks out on these issues without a mask? (I am glad he gets to make such choices for himself. I would be happy either way with his choice. Are you too?)
Why not give a list of possible reasons anybody might have a “legitimate reason” to not wear a mask in a public setting? There’s a lot of legitimate reason why someone might not wear a mask
We follow the advice and direction of competent authority, just like the Pope. What have you got against the Pope, BTW? Why the hostility? Can we too have our own set “protocols” where we too can discard the masks in group settings?
Asthma and breathing difficulties would be the main ones. A lot of countries require people with exemptions to wear a recognizable lanyard around their necks displaying a card to that effect.Motherwit:![]()

Why are you attempting to change the thread about the news story over to me?What have you got against the Pope, BTW? Why the hostility?
I don’t get that. Are you glad the Pope speaks out on these issues without a mask?

You responded saying the Pope has “protocols”.Are you glad the Pope speaks out on these issues without a mask?
(I support our Pope in choosing to not wear masks in the many cases he doesn’t.)
Then you deflected the thread at me personally accusing me of “hostility” to the Pope which is just plain false. That is fair enough.
How 'bout me? Or you? Or someone else?
Can we too have our own set “protocols” where we too can discard the masks in group settings?
I’m thinking . . . Huh??? (Where did THAT come from?)What have you got against the Pope, BTW? Why the hostility?
OK. But the Pope evidently didn’t want to wear one (and I support him in that).A lot of countries require people with exemptions to wear a recognizable lanyard around their necks
