Okay so just two quick stories to respond that and insight into my personal thought process…Seriously, people who have a problem with “uncovered breastfeeding” don’t sound to me like they have ever looked at a breastfeeding woman - you can’t actually SEE much of anything! Just look at the woman in the picture above - to me, a straying eye would really have to add an ACTIVE imagination to find anything even remotely tempting in such a view.
It has been mentioned that in most societies breastfeeding is not an issue at all. I would like to respond and say that most issues work out a lot better with a little compromise and common sense. There is no need to be militant for or against breastfeeding. Yes, a baby needs nourishment and a mother should give her baby what if physically needs. Likewise, children need peace and examples of charity that are every bit as important as food. The point I try to make here isn’t one of disapproval or judgment. It’s a suggestion. I think that it is thoughtful to at least try to cover. That’s it. That’s my point. It seems some others share it, but if you don’t, I don’t love you any less.![]()
nope, the best reaction is to continue as if you saw nothing and let her feed the child. the smile can be creepy and make you look like a peeping tom.I think the appropriate reaction to seeing a breastfeeding woman is a smile, one that she can see, one that says “Good for you! You gave your child life and now you are trying to do what’s best for him/her.”
Oh, I am a cat person for sure! So, your welcome and I am glad they make you smile. Although if they become offensive, maybe I could cover them with a blanket in public.Oh Pnewton I just have to say I love your kitties and every time I find you in a thread I smile at them. Thanks for the kitty humor.
