Pope Francis answered via an open letter some questions that the editor of the Newspaper “La Repubblica” had put on the editorial page of that newspaper.
The newspaper in question is very left leaning and it’s editor is a self declared atheist.
He openly challenged our Holy Father to try and answer his “phylosophical and existencial questions”
It’s so fascinating seeing the “media” trying to cope with him.
He recently personally called on the phone a young person that had sent him a letter, that also caused some shock waves.
Also he declared while visiting a center to house displaced refugees that are fleeing Africa and arriving at Italy’s shores, that if the Catholic Church in Italy has empty convents and monasteries for lack of nuns and monks that it would be better to convert them to help these people.
Although the majority of these refugees are muslims I think he sees in them brothers that he can win over by love.
May the good Lord keep our Holy Pope for many years and help him convert our society from apathy and the culture of death.
