Babies are born with birth defects in Iraq, and the Iraqi civilians are suffering of hugely increased numbers of leukemias, lymphomas, and other cancers, due to our depleted uranium shells. Yeah, the massive amount of environmental pollution (both man-made and natural), open sewage systems (i.e. trenches filled with sewage that ran off untreated into irrigation canals and rivers), years of war with Iran (which included gas attacks), gas attacks on Iraqis by their own government, and general lack of any sort of populace wide health care, let alone prenatal care, has nothing to do with the number of birth defects, etc in Iraq. /sarcasm
I won’t even go into the possible impact better and more truthful recording of medical conditions since the fall of Saddam and swarming of Iraq with aid organizations (here swarming is a good thing) could have on the stats.
