Pope Francis: Where Mary is, ‘the devil does not enter’

Vatican City, Jan 28, 2018 / 04:09 am (CNA/EWTN News).- At Mass in the Basilica of St. Mary Major Sunday, Pope Francis said that when we go through difficult times or have problems or worries, Mary is our shield, guarding our faith and protecting us from evil.
.
“Where the Madonna is at home the devil does not enter; where there is the Mother disturbance does not prevail, fear does not win,” the Pope said Jan. 28.
.
“Who of us does not need this . . . .
.
. . . “Let’s make the Mother the guest of our daily life, the constant presence in our home, our safe haven,” he concluded. “Let’s entrust (ourselves) to her every day. Let’s invoke her in every turbulence. And let’s not forget to come back to her to thank her.”

Thank you Holy Father.

That is certainly true. Exorcists know this. From an interview with exorcist priest Fr. Pedro Barrajon:
Fr. Barrajon:
At the end, the priest says to the demon, “Go away! Disappear!” The
demon usually answers, “No, I don’t want to.” It rebels and revolts.
Sometimes it says “You have no power over me. You are nothing to me.”
But after a while, its resistance weakens. This usually happens after
the invocation of the Holy Mother, she’s very important for that.
No demon ever dares to insult her during an exorcism. Never.

Interviewer:
Does he have more respect for Mary than for God himself?

Fr. Barrajon:
Apparently. Otherwise no holds are barred, and everyone is insulted: the priests, everyone present, the bishops, the Pope, even Jesus Christ. But never the Virgin Mary. It’s an enigma.
What an amazing comfort! The devil cannot touch her. However, he then dupes “well-intentioned” non-Catholics into demeaning her. We all know where the road paved with good intentions leads…

As St. Louis De Montfort has said & the Legion of Mary practices; “Jesus through Mary”.

It’s true. It is only through Mary that one can be a Christian. Devotion to her is the driving force of Catholicity.

No in Orthodoxy we are told and from personal times of temptations I hold it to be true, that the devil has no respect for her, he just hates her because he has no argument against her. He can’t win. He hates her. And her icon with baby Jesus he can’t defeat. Because God chose her and the devil knows. He against Mary means he is up against God Himself, not Angels. He can’t do that…he’s just a fallen Cherub. 😁

Many blessings pour out after First Saturday Mass.

Make reparation.

This is our take on things. Why the devil did what he did it’s his personal problem with God. He is not of the same substance as we are, not even in evil, so we simply can’t tell what a fallen angel’s motivations are.
But the reasons as to why icon of Theotokos displeases him seem more realistic to be those of pure hate, not respect. Of course there are many stories when a demon said this and that and I always wonder when did the Church ever told us to listen to what the demons say when they said the devil is father of all lies.
How can we as humans know when he lies or not?
And even if we were to be shown, for the sake of the argument that devil respects Mary, what use is it to us? Is it not rather more useful to him and his wrong doings for us to believe this, so we can worry about his ideas instead of God and concentrate on him instead of God? Or to make us believe he is not dangerous when indeed experience shows he is? The devil knows how to flatter us and how powerful our ego is, this much is shown by Church Fathers.
