Someone just posted on Facebook the following:

“The pope said recently that as long as a person does good works, they will go to heaven. Even if they are atheists. This is the worst blasphemy”

Please give me the correct statement that the Pope made.

The Pope has never made a blanket statement that all atheists go to Heaven. Of course, they can go to Heaven if they seek God with humility. But, how many of today’s atheists do this? And is someone still an atheist if they are humbly seeking God? Catholics should ignore what the secular media says about the Pope since almost all of it is sensationalist propaganda.
