who told you that - it seems you have not read or refuse to read and comment on what the Magisterium and Church Councils have said and say as at www.cfnews.org/sung-pio,htm and Evolution and the Magisterium as at www.scripturecatholic.com - please do so and then comment on who and what Catholics should believe or accept - twinc
I have read what the Magisterium has to say at www.vatican.va, and I am going with what the Church has offcially provided there, thanks.

I repeat, nowhere, nohow has or does the Church teach that Catholics are free to accept Evolution, according to her Catechism,Church Councils and Magisterium etc it is forbidden and anathema - twinc

Theistic evolution is perfectly acceptable, non-theistic evolution is not.

that is if by that you mean “instant creation.complete and out of nothing” which means no evolution.I repeat since Evolution did not and could not happen to say God had a part in this is idiotic and derogatory and degrading to God imho and so rightly the Church can’t possibly be teaching this - twinc

I think an important word in what the Pope says is “randomly.” A lot of people think that you cannot believe in evolution and God both. But if God used the process of evolution to create life (sort of like using a factory assembly line to create a car), then He is still the Creator. Cars don’t randomly construct themselves from a series of “improvements” — it is done deliberately by those who put the assembly line in place. Likewise, life didn’t just “randomly” evolve into its current state. If evolution was the process by which life as we know it came to exist, then it was a process designed and implemented by the Creator God. Deliberately!
  • Note: I am not saying God did use the assembly line of evolution to create life, just that he could have without it contradicting anything the Bible says.

What about two individuals, Adam and Eve? Why was Christ born and why did He have to die? Why does the Bible tells us that through one man sin entered the world?

bible.cc/romans/5-12.htm

These questions do not properly belong to science but must include other areas of reason that we still need.

Peace,
Ed

we should not conjecture or suppose what God should have done or could have done and presume to advise or know more or better than God who did what He did and told us so - why this itch or urge by many to accept way out, weird and wacky alternatives rather than the original - twinc

Here it is then the actual and original teaching of the Catholic Church and an end to all individual speculation, conjectures and way out, weird and wacky alternatives - see, hear, listen and absorb that both Atheistic and Theistic Evolution is forbidden and ANATHEMA to and for Catholics and so it follows must not be accepted or taught as Catholic teaching or doctrine - do a Google search, type in[Catholic doctrine of Creation/video] and see and listen and absorb - twinc
