During his March 15 general audience, Pope Francis spoke in St. Peter’s Square with a Peruvian man who has requested assisted suicide in Switzerland.

Poor man. May God bless him, and bless Pope Francis for his act of charity towards him. May them both go to Heaven.

I’ve had a suicide in my family I don’t think a lot of people understand of that people who are suicidal need folks to reach out to them and they needn’t be afraid to say that they have those thoughts. You can’t get help if you don’t admit anything is wrong.
