VATICAN CITY — Pope Benedict XVI formally created a new Vatican office Tuesday to revive Christianity in Europe, his latest attempt to counter secular trends in traditionally Christian countries.

God bless the holy father. it is so encouraging to see the holy father being a true sheppard. he is on the offense and have no fear. I love you holy father. how can we send the holy father letters of encouragement that we are with him? supporting everything he is doing? he is a saint and i know his life is in danger?
 
I wonder what they have in mind, specifically. I pray that it works.
 
Praise God! May his efforts be worthwhile and effective! 👍 Secularism really is taking over parts of the world and in some places like communist China, it has a strong hold. Of course, there is an underground revival of Christianity in China though. But this sort of office was definitely needed!

Yes, but even more so, is mankind in danger during these treacherous times. I like to think that the prayers of support said for our beloved Benedict during Eucharistic Adoration are perceived mystically in his heart; indeed, perhaps our Blessed Lady delivers them herself, in a manner of speaking. She was the one who warned he would have much to suffer, but suffering brings redemption. I always pray that his heart be pierced with love for Jesus.

I pray this will help, yet the news is filled with protesters in France having a fit over France raising the pension age from 60 to 62. Their central concerns seem to be about leisure…it will be quite hard to get them off that.

I never have understood retirement btw…never.
