Pope Pius XII Saw the ‘Miracle of the Sun’

Here’s a thought: It is said that when the sun comes out, the light of the other stars grows dim in comparison.
(I saw this quote somewhere.)

So turn this around, when the sun’s light grows dim, the other star’s light can thus be seen. In this case, Pope Pius XII was able to “see” Mary and thus affirm her Assumption.

How cool is that?

So for us today, who are we supposed to be able to see?

I opened up for today’s readings and bam there was the answer speaking as loud as can be.
Then I went over to clerus.org/bibliaclerus/index_eng.html
and searched the bible text for Philippians 2:12-18 and read that comment. I’m still pondering that.
I think this is something that maybe a bishop or some other person who really knows stuff should expound upon. For me it is like on the tip of my tongue and I just can’t quite grasp it. It’s there but I can’t get it. I don’t fully understand the whole wonderment of it. I do know it is important to think about.

Okay, put it all in context:
All Saints then All souls, quote from a local priest “That leaves us here on earth, the third group…we are hopefully saints in the making. We are part of the third group called the “Church Militant”–the Church that is still fighting the good fight against temptation and evil. We are called to be saints. It is our destiny. And we have a lot of help. But it is not guaranteed yet…” then (for the people in our town, at least, that I know of) there was exposition, adoration, wiith Philppians 2:1-4 and Luke 14 and then benediction with Phil 2:5-11 and Luke 14, the loss of life in the election with many Catholic’s jumping rank, and now today Phil 2:12-18 and Luke 14. Last Sunday, at a pro-life rally at a Protestant church, we witnessed this same exact miracle! The Protestants let use pray the rosary, the chaplet of divine mercy and have a procession with a statue of Our Lady. The miracle began at the hour of mercy (3PM) and ended around 3:30. It was amazing! So many of the Catholics there had been to Medjugorje and had experienced it before. We had about 70 witnesses but this was aimed directly toward us because I called my mom on the phone to tell her to look. It was too bright for her to look at it from where she was, only a few miles away.

Scientists are observing sun phenomena as of late as well. Search the web for solar or sun spots etc to see what they have been talking about. Pretty interesting stuff. The “period” started early 2008 and has been continuing now for at least ten months. The predictions for a “normal” sun have been reassessed many times and now scientists say that sun phenomena will go into next year as well.

I was drawn to the sun–as it rose-- several times and have notice differences. One time was markedly “strange”, that’s for sure. I rationalized it as the atmosphere filtering so much that the sun’s orb was clearly visible and not painful to look at. And yes, many times it does have a halo around it. That one “strange” time, my first notice of sun phenomena, early early one Sunday this past summer, the sun was not circular at all. It was distinctly oval. This time there wasn’t a halo, but it was extremely larger than normal. It was so huge, I had to notice it. It caused me to look on the web as to explain what I saw. That’s when I learned about what the scientists have been buzzing on for quite some time already.

I should try at different times during the day, as well, to see what I can see.
My viewing may be just—like I said–the atmospheric filtering coupled with the real lower intensity of the sun’s surface. It is kind of neat, though, to think that this just may be an extreme, reoccurring miracle.

The day the readings were in Philippians2 I noticed again ease at looking. That’s why I mentioned it here. It just all kind of spoke to me as to why maybe this all was, if it were actually a miracle.

No one here has ever seen anything like that. I find it impossible to believe that it was just some “natural” occurence that happened in our small town. An interesting “coincidence” that it began at 3PM and my mom a few miles away could not see it.

I believe this to be an affirmation from God on what we were doing. 🙂

Well, I decided to write a letter–finally–in response to this all. I see now that there is a definite connection to Respect for Life as the sole domain of God, Himself. (Everyone I know kids me because that’s what I do when I want to be heard. HA)

I heard on the TV news that the minute Obama lowers his swearing in hand at noon on Jan 20th, he will then pick up a pen and sign the reversal of the stem cell ban issued by presidential executive order.
True, it is common practice for opposing parties to try to erase each other’s orders. Yet, this one particular erasure is monumentally a horrible decision on Obama’s part. It is almost slapping God in the face! If Obama does this, guess what? He will not be sitting too well in God’s eyes. Not that God will strike him down with a bolt of lightning or anything. NO. God will just patiently ignore him…which is worse. Without God’s help, our country is really in for a rough time. So buck up people…especially the Catholics who were tempted with other issues during the election against all warning!

I don’t know if I personally can endure four years of God’s silence.

Well, the Pope received a telephone call from Obama. Deep down, I hope that my letter may have unsettled the elected official enough and that is why he decided to check it out from the “top dog”. The Pope, according to the news article, was pretty gracious and offered to pray for Obama.

I guess our shepherd is correct in his response. It is so-o-o hard to be Christ-like in response to direct aggressive stupidity. We do have to remember, though, that horrible abomination has not occurred, even though it has been promised.
