In a private conversation with his longtime friend from Buenos Aires, Oscar Crespo, Pope Francis reportedly revealed his plans to change important “archaic” parts of the Catholic rules. Crespo claims the Pope intends to overturn the “centuries-old ban” on Catholic priests from getting married and to lift the banishment of divorcees from the Catholic church.
It is from Catholic Online. Is it reliable? I don’t want to start a discussion here, as this topic i largely discussed already, so please be courteous with answers!

Your link doesn’t work, FYI.

It doesn’t sound very reliable. It is extremely unlikely that the Pope will change the Church’s standing on priestly celibacy, and I don’t even know what they are talking about with “the banishment of divorcees from the Church” which is false and utterly ridiculous.

On the priestly celibacy issue, Pope Francis has spoken on married priests multiple times. If he was definitely for a change,in celibacy, why wouldn’t he have said he supported a change?

All I got from the video was that people were protesting and he said it’s easier to pray from his helicopter.

If it was a private conversation…how do we know they weren’t talking about the future of Lionel Messi at Barcelona?

The first of all is to change the rules for divorced couples,"
Highly suspicious of this as there is absolutely no further explanation. This does not appear to be a news story.

"We don’t know what the Pope may have said as part of a private conversation. We only know what he says in public. Since such conversations do not form part of the Pope’s public activities, no comments from the press office should be expected.
Such conversations should be seen in the context of personal pastoral relationships."
I will discount this (for now.)

Divorce and remarriage and communion was an issue at the Extraordinary Synod last year, has been since, and now this guy comes out and says “oh yeah he totally wants to change that”. Yeah, I have a hard time believing that, especially given Pope Francis’ recent statements on the indissolubility of marriage.
