But in this instance, it ain’t a question of a duck, it’s a question of the doctrinal integrity of the Vicars of Christ on earth and an ecumenical council.

But they didn’t. Read correctly, there’s nothing proposed by the Council or the post-conciliar popes that contradicts what went before.

But even if it doesn’t do these things, someone who is misinformed as to their ornithology may mistake something that is not a duck, for a duck. 🤷

Or do I do what I have just done, lifted my heart to God and swore to Him on His name?

I will always submit myself to Holy Mother Church, following Her Truth in humble obedience.

What needs to be said? It was great.
Therefore, I entirely reject the heretical misrepresentation that dogmas evolve and change from one meaning to another different from the one which the Church held previously. The Oath Against Modernism was mandated to be sworn by clergy, religious and professors, not the laity.

I understand that. I have bound myself to Holy Mother Church at my Confirmation (I am a convert, confirmed in 2005). I believe can bind myself even more strongly to Her True Teachings.

Of course, I do this, in a slightly different manner, every day at Mass.
