The Pope is the successor of both Saints Peter and Paul according to Saint Irenaeus of Lyons and the Seventh Ecumenical Council. So Galatians 2 would only be an example of the Pope correcting himself.
Not to me.Read my posts. Then read Augustine’s letters to Jerome. Then read Haydock, because to you insipired Scripture needs modifying,
I answered those objections. Apparently you disregarded them. Not to me.
I quoted Jerome and scripture he used .
Paul taught the following.
Then he had Timothy circumcised. WHY?
- 1 Corinthians 7:19 , Romans 2:26 , Romans 3:1 , 1 Corinthians 7:18 , 1 Corinthians 7:19 * , Galatians 5:6* , Galatians 6:13*** , Galatians 6:15* , Etc
- Col. 2:11–12 In Context ] Paul notes that baptism has replaced circumcision . In that passage, he refers to baptism as “the circumcision of Christ” and “the circumcision made without hands.”
Paul admits, Circumcision does NOTHING!
Will one say Paul had /timothy circumcised because of fear of the Jews? Jerome’s point, How is that any different than what Peter did by not eating with a certain group?
Do you see why I ask, where is the sense of proportion here?
If Peter is a hypocrite then so is Paul. That is Jerome’s point.
I could surmise, if Jerome thought he needed to answer the objection, further than he did, he would have.
Last I.checked, Peter was the Rock and Paul was the least of the Apostles. So it’s an example of the Pope being corrected by a subordinate. The Pope is the successor of both Saints Peter and Paul according to Saint Irenaeus of Lyons and the Seventh Ecumenical Council. Actually they didn’t refute Jerome’s pointsI answered those objections. Apparently you disregarded them.
Actually it was a case of a subordinate correcting his superior for doing something far less than what the subordinate did.Last I.checked, Peter was the Rock and Paul was the least of the Apostles. So it’s an example of the Pope being corrected by a subordinate.
That’s what you think. Apparently Peter didn’t think so cause he didn’t call Paul out for hypocrisy.Actually it was a case of a subordinate correcting his superior for doing something far less than what the subordinate did.
Dream on.Actually they didn’t refute Jerome’s points

Not everything is recorded in scripture.Dream on.
Yes, it is a human right.I couldn’t care less where and what is written IT IS NOT A HUMAN RIGHT, PERIOD. . If Francis wants to excommunicate me because I say he is wrong, no big loss.
