The Pope is the successor of both Saints Peter and Paul according to Saint Irenaeus of Lyons and the Seventh Ecumenical Council. So Galatians 2 would only be an example of the Pope correcting himself.

Read my posts. Then read Augustine’s letters to Jerome. Then read Haydock, because to you insipired Scripture needs modifying,
Not to me.

I quoted Jerome and scripture he used .

Paul taught the following.
Then he had Timothy circumcised. WHY?

Paul admits, Circumcision does NOTHING!

Will one say Paul had /timothy circumcised because of fear of the Jews? Jerome’s point, How is that any different than what Peter did by not eating with a certain group?

Do you see why I ask, where is the sense of proportion here?

If Peter is a hypocrite then so is Paul. That is Jerome’s point.

I could surmise, if Jerome thought he needed to answer the objection, further than he did, he would have.

I answered those objections. Apparently you disregarded them.

Last I.checked, Peter was the Rock and Paul was the least of the Apostles. So it’s an example of the Pope being corrected by a subordinate.

Actually it was a case of a subordinate correcting his superior for doing something far less than what the subordinate did.

That’s what you think. Apparently Peter didn’t think so cause he didn’t call Paul out for hypocrisy.

Dream on.
Not everything is recorded in scripture.

When one spends as much time as Paul teaching against circumcision, that it is not necessary, and NOT even to be done, 1 Corinthians 7:18 , then has his own disciple, circumcised, THAT is the definition of hypocrisy which is paraphrasing Jerome’s point…

I couldn’t care less where and what is written IT IS NOT A HUMAN RIGHT, PERIOD. . If Francis wants to excommunicate me because I say he is wrong, no big loss.
Yes, it is a human right.

If you think so little of being Catholic, by what you write in your last sentence, that truly says everything. What a tragic choice you made.
