Or the persecutions or um…da prosecutions of “dysfunctional families”. The theaters come out with morally offensive movies like Brokeback Mountain which advocate homosexuality and portray those who are opposed to gay marriage as homophobes. Or even worse, on our own TV sets with blasphemous shows like “The Book of Daniel”. The persecutions are getting worse just as I perdicted. Our nation the U.S. will be punished for her wicked deads and iniquities, for our Lord will not be mocked.

This isn’t a surprise at all. I wonder how this is even counted as news.

From the article above: *While he did not mention the pill by name, he told the politicians that they should not “introduce pharmaceuticals that in one way or another hide the grave nature of abortion”.
*Excellent way to put it. I love this man!

LOVE HIM!

In his address, the Pope said the defence of traditional marriage was “not a peculiarity of Catholic moral teaching but part of an elementary truth regarding our common humanity”.

America are we listening???

It’s news because moral and ethical values on the basics of humanity need to be re-stated and re-iterated over and over again!

That being said, I say “Yea Papa Ratzi!” 👍

Is it just me, or does our Holy Father seem to be hitting his stride over the last couple months? It seems to me it took some months for our Pope to get acclimated and to also allow people to mourn the passing of John Paul the Great. It seems now he is starting to step-out to become the Pope our Lord wants and the world needs.

This is not news, merely the church saying what it has been for the past 2 millenia.

I’ve wondered the exact same thing because I’m one who wants him to fix everything NOW (not that I’m impatient or anything…:D.)

But I’ve noticed in a very straight-forward way he is speaking the truth about our faith and our Lord. Not with a hammer, but also with no apologies or compromises, and doing it in love, with conviction and confidence, and with the strength that can only come from the Holy Spirit.
Long live Pope Benedict XVI!

Yeah, but what’s awesome about our Pope is that when he gets an audience of important leaders, instead of giving them some watered down pap about how awesome they are doing and how Christ’s love is generic and asks nothing of us (like the majority of US bishops would do) he tells them that they are headed down the wrong road with legislation aimed at legalizing gay marriages and the abortion pill. He’s subtle and polite, but he’s not afraid to express the truth. I’ll admit the headline is simplistic and dumb, but this action by our pope in reiterating some of the Church’s hardest teachings in this day and age to these Italian leaders is great. It’s what they need to hear, not coddling and up-suckery.

So, do we think it will have any effect though, or will our leaders simply ignore the Pope?

I say that the pope’s words will have an effect cause experience tells us otherwise.

What is the specific blasphemy in the Book of Danial?
