Terrific article. The author talks about how chuch insiders have been dazzled by this Pope. It is also true that he is one of the greatest intellects of the 20th Century.
If you found this interesting I would encourage you to not only read Deus Caritas Est, but Truth and Tolerance, written by our beloved Pope before he assumed the Chair of Peter.
Both progressives AND Traditionalists have greatly underestimated this man. He’s way out ahead of all of us, and we’ll have to work to catch up. He is a man perfectly suited to our time in intellect and spirituality. We need to listen very closely to him.
