I imagine that the Holy Father trusts that Church will work out its issues like it has over the centuries. I’m sure he recognizes the divisions and issues, but it’s nothing the Church hasn’t faced before. I think that simply what he means. He puts his faith that Holy Spirit will guide the magisterium. Sure some Bishops and Cardinals may fall into heresy & grave sin (like in the past), but the magisterium as a whole will not.
