Since it’s release on March 10, the pope’s book “Jesus of Nazareth,” has steadily climbed the numbers chart in copies sold. It recently reached the number five spot on the New York Times Best Seller list.

So far, 1.2 million copies of the book have been published in eight languages. The entire Italian and German editions sold out on the first day at more than 450,000 copies sold.

Oh good, it is available on kindle, and for a lower price than a physical copy. I think I might add to its sales.

I’ve seen this, I have to read it, I have read Part I and it was very good. Part II is suppose to be even better.

God Bless, Gary

The Pope is a very good theologian, im learning about the faith and this book is very informative. Im only in the first few chapters and its great! The simple message so far; follow Christ and dont ever give in, very simple yet explained in a very powerful way. 🙂

I want to read part 2, but I havent finished the first one yet.
🙂
I’m a slow reader

I was off work this week and reading this was my top priority. Just finished about an hour ago. It’s a wonderful book…I highly recommend it!

Thanks for this clarification. I was confused by the initial article because the pope published a book with the same title three years ago. So I was wondering what was going on.

However, this current book is a sequel to the earlier book. The full name of current book is Jesus of Nazareth: Holy Week: From the Entrance into Jerusalem to the Resurrection.

The full title of the 2008 book is Jesus of Nazareth: From the Baptism in the Jordan to the Transfiguration

As Barbkw mentioned, both books are available through Amazon.

Does anyone know what the pope does with the money made from his books??

(Am reading Jesus of Nazareth Holy Week right now :):)😛
