They keep slinging mud at the walls, hoping something will stick, and clapping their hands in glee when they get even one of the faithful to question his faith.

Okay, so the basis of the article is that because the Pope was only in academia and not administrative roles, he does not have experience to be a leader.
Strange that the mainstream media never ran an article “Obama’s ivory tower past adds to his detachment” since his creds to be president are strictly academic. Hilarious blind spot on the part of the media on their own bias.

Actually, there have been articles saying as much. But really, I’m not sure the two issues have much to do with one another.

I think the problems with how the Church is responding to the sex abuse crisis is much deeper than the current Pope, or his predecessor for that matter. Take a look at this thread:

The Vatican’s spokesman is unwilling to engage in the sort of public relations campaign that is needed.

The AP has never ran a title even close to that in regards to Obama. And the reason it is relevant is that integrity has been lost to ideology.
