Does anyone know how to go about getting tickets to see the Pope when he comes to Giant Stadium this coming April?

He will be celebrating Mass in Yankee Stadium.

Details for ticket distribution aren’t finalized, but the Archdiocese of New York has announced that tickets are not available through Ticketron. Instead, tickets will be distributed through the parishes. Some kind of ticket distribution for persons outside the Archdiocese will be made - likely it will be through their local bishop.

From the Archdiocese of New York website:
Additional details about the visit will be made known as soon as they are finalized, meanwhile, if you wish to contact the Papal Visit Office, please call:

thank you for this information. Do you think I should write a letter to my bishop requesting that if possible could he send my parish some tickets? Do you think I should wait and see if my parish receives them.

Maureen, you are most welcome. 🙂

I dunno… I guess my feelings would lean towards towards making contact. I don’t know if you want to talk to your priest to see if he has any knowledge of getting the tickets, or perhaps knows who the right contact person might be.

I fondly remember attending Pope John Paul’s Mass in Grant Park, Chicago back in 1979. No tickets… we just showed up!
