Has anyone who has struggled with porn use noticed it’s given you chronic anxiety?

And I’m not even talking about an obvious, on the surface fight, but rather a deep seeded thorn that you don’t even notice until you’ve achieved significant healing.

I’ve noticed, as I’m winning my porn battle, (which has been a habit for 15 years), I’ve noticed a certain serenity emerging. It’s quite a suprise! I know it would not be there if i wasn’t getting better:)

Anyone know what I’m talking about??

Please share your story!! This is very relieving. Your witness will give me so much hope!!

Please pray for me as well. This is a fight that I’ve frankly given up hope with. But now I’m seeing what the gifts purity bring!! Praise God!!:amen:
 
Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom to overcome your temptations.
 
Porn is not of God. Anxiety is not of God. He is a God of peace and of purity. Associate the dishonored name and incomprehensibly disfigured face of the evil one with both porn and anxiety and you will find strength fighting both of them. Contemplate the beauty and power of Saint Michael the Archangel as he forces the devil into hell. We have friends in high places!
 
You’ve come to a good realization but also realize that after some months if you fall off the wagon again the crash will be all that much worse.
