Oh, the irony. And the hypocrisy. Wish I could say I was surprised. However, if mass murder is fine with you (the “you” here is bin Laden), I don’t think there’s much you WON’T do.

May God have mercy on his soul.

I almost wish they hadn’t killed em now. Imagine if you were an interrogator with this kind if dirt on this dude.

Ummm, Osama…does this look familiar to you? Wouldn’t want this kind of news getting out to your buddies now would you?

Three other U.S. officials familiar with evidence gathered during investigations of other Islamic militants said the discovery of pornography is not uncommon in such cases.
It does not surprise me either that such materials were found there.
Did not the 9/11 suicide jihadists attend strip clubs the night before the mission?

Multiple wives as sexual partners does not normally make men more respectful of women as people, but as often as not it engenders an attitude that women are objects of sexual pleasure for any man of means. the idea of being serviced by seventy virgins in paradise, further promotes this idea. The promise of women as booty has always been one of the bonuses for going on jihads into foreign lands in the first place.

In polygamous societies, the tendency is not to be faithful to the wives, but such men are more likely to visit prostitutes and have sexual encounters outside of the marriage bed altogether. The natural animal desire of a man to have multiple sexual partners is not curbed in any way by legitimizing multiple sexual partners, but becomes in effect legitimized. The more the merrier becomes a prevalent attitude.

Islamic sexual morality has never been about suppressing a man’s sexual desires or urges. It involves suppressing a woman’s sexual freedom to the highest degree possible. Muslim men will respect another Muslim man’s claim to his cloistered Muslimas, but all other women are fair game for him.

This quote comes to mind, from a webpage I read recently, “.not ten percent of the men who, in 1933, took the fate of Germany into their hands, were sexually normal”.

The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality in the Nazi Party

Documents the homosexual and occultic roots of the Nazi movement in Germany. Much has been written about Nazi persecution of homosexuals. Yet, many Nazis were homosexuals themselves, and the so-called persecution was merely one faction using the state to suppress the other faction or was unrelated to their being homosexual.

I seriously can’t pick myself up off the floor I’m laughing so hard at all you goofballs! hahahaha!!!:D:D:D:D

Seriously though, God have mercy on his soul. But it’s not shocking coming from a man who believes it’s okay to have several wives and who’s idea of heaven is 72 virgins.

I’ve seen this one! Cracks me up! I also love a sketch Robin Williams does about it:

Apparently scholars were saying at the time that it might not read “virgins” but “crystal clear raisins.” And he was commenting on how a change or misinterpretation can really make a big difference, take this for example - "Osama dies and is standing before allah. Suddenly, George Washingtom comes out and round-houses kicks himw hile Thomas Jefferson comes out and starts beating the living daylights out of him. Osama is taken aback and shouts ‘What happened to my virgins???’ George Washington replies: “Not virgins, you dope, VIRGINIANS!”

You know, it seems that Islam is a lot more lenient when it comes to demanding chastity from men. It isn’t uncommon for wealthy muslim men to enter into a nikah misyar or traveler’s marriage on vacation or while working away from home for an extended period so that they can avoid zin (fornication) and still have sex. When they return home to their spouse they simply obtain a divorce from their traveler’s wife. Men also have the ability to take multiple wives and to divorce them pretty much as they please. It doesn’t really surprise me that the jihadists might have a different view towards pornography than we might expect.

What I find amusing is that the whole time we think that we are hated because of our decadent western influence these terrorists are consuming ungodly quantities of American smut. It is very revealing of their actual motivations for hating us.

It is no so much the sexual mores that western men have that offends them. It is the freedom of women in the West have that offends and frightens them most of all.

That women in Muslim countries might actually have such freedoms one day would be a real blow to the kind of life that they want for themselves.

Cause…
Islamic sexual morality has never been about suppressing a man’s sexual desires or urges. It involves suppressing a woman’s sexual freedom to the highest degree possible. Muslim men will respect another Muslim man’s claim to his cloistered Muslimas, but all other women are fair game for him.
And effect…

But it’s really NOT amusing, is it? Muslim men are not responsible for controlling their own libido. It’s everyone (women) and everything else (society) who must be controlled. So they consume American smut, blame America for it, and feel justified in destroying American society if they cannot control it in any other way. That is really disturbing.

Since Islam is a “free for all” when it comes to interpreting the Qur’an, this only applies to those branches that still insist women wear the veil, because that is a sign that the group adheres to the belief that everyone and everything but the man must be controlled.

This is why I do not understand the position of the Church regarding the French ban on the full face veil. I don’t believe any group that insists on controlling women to such a degree would ever be willing to respect the rights of Christians to practice their faith in a country “controlled” by Muslims, except as second class citizens. I think the French did the right thing in refusing to tolerate extremism in the name of religion.

I haven’t really thought all of this through, so I apologize if I offended anyone.

Peace 🙂

Regarding the French ban, I think that any government that seeks to impose on how women dress or can’t dress, whether it’s they must cover such as in Sandi Arabia or are not allowed to cover in France, are fundementally impeding on freedom of speech, expression and potentially religion. I’m surprised some Americans are FOR the ban in France.

I heard there was such a low % of women who did veil in France it was suggested Sarkozy did this to gain votes within a certain group of voters. I quite agree.

Back on topic - I’m not surprised. 🤷

Is that really unique to Islam? Think about how many Christian Churches you can name first. 😛
I suppose any with a congregational or presbyterian structure. I’m not saying it isn’t true of Christian Churches as well. I’m only saying it makes it nearly impossible to generalize about Islam. It wouldn’t be fair.

True. Islam has had 1400 years to fray as compared to 500 years for Protestantism.

This article is incredibly misinformed.

I have a hard time believing that a well informed agency like Reuters would claim U.S Commandos found the pornographic items, considering that no such unit has ever existed within any of the Service Branches of the United States Armed Forces.

US Army Rangers is the oldest formation of special operations forces, and an equivalent to the British Special Air Service, however the term commando has never been used by American forces for their own special operation units, which include US Navy SEALS, Marine Force Recon, US Army Rangers, US Special Forces (Green Berets) or the “technically non-existant” US ‘Delta Force’.

Alas, US Navy SEAL Team Six (DEVGRU) was initiated the raid on Bin Laden’s hideout. While they are special forces, specially trained, they are SEALs not Commandos. It’s the equivalent of calling the Priest an Imam, while both technically translate to one another; the context is different.

Does this make you question whether porn was found in the hideout at all?

As for misinformed reporting - did you read the story attached to this thread?

A small time newspaper could be justified in making such a mistake, but not a paper which has countless hundreds of journalists, researchers and analysts.

I won’t say that I don’t necessarily believe in the news but the article is definitely badly written.

Very true, I do agree with you.

By the way, where did you get your banner in your signature? :o I would like to have it too.
