A few from the book of Kells. It is in trinity College in Dublin. Was created around 800 AD, and is considered to be Ireland greatest national treasure. It focuses on the four gospels of the New Testament. I’ve seen it. Created in Columban monasteries.

So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables.Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.” (Acts 6)

Wow, I didn’t know the doctrine of deacons was so clear in the Bible. Thanks!

Luke 10:29-34
“And who is my neighbor?” 30 Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 Now by chance a priest was going down that road; and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. 32 So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion, 34 and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; then he set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” (Matthew 4:18)

As for Nero, he has been referred to several times in the New Testament. For example, Acts 25:11 where Paul appeals to emperor Nero.
Now if I am in the wrong and have committed something for which I deserve to die, I am not trying to escape death; but if there is nothing to their charges against me, no one can turn me over to them. I appeal to the emperor.
I didn’t work out for Paul. Most of the disciples of Jesus were martyred. However, I always got a kick out of this etching from the Grotteschi displayed in a museum somewhere. Grotteschi means decorations from excavated roman houses. It shows the tomb of Nero forgotten and overgrown.
