The 23rd Psalm is my all time favorite. I really like all the verses but especially: Verse 4

“Even though I walk in the dark valley I fear no evil; for you are at my side with your rod and your staff that give me courage.”

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. (Psalm 46:10)

trust Him,

He is our Almighty Father

I am that leper.
 
I had a really hard time picking one verse. There are so many favorites. But after due consideration, I think John 14:6 is really profound.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth and the life, No one comes to the Father but by me.”

But I could have just as easily picked: John 3:16, Prov 3:5, Mt 6:33, Romans 8:38, Mary’s magnificat, the beatitudes, nearly every Psalm…:). Ok, now I’m just getting carried away. :o

I have several which I recite each morning as I walk from my car to my desk; among them:

Thou dost keep him in perfect peace,

because he trusts in thee. (Isaiah 26:3)

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,

and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5f)

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7)
 
I’m the apoc nut, so mine are predictable.

Rev. 17:9-11:

“…and they are seven kings: five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come, and when he does come, he shall remain a short time. And the beast you saw who was and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes into perdition.”

The mystery of iniquity, the revelation of the full implications of the fallen nature of man in human history!

That is wonderful. A few years ago, I was in a difficult situation and I asked a Methodist minister who is a good friend of mine to pray with me. He gave me those verses. After we prayed together, I felt like a weight was lifted off of me. God did take care of me, just as the Bible said. My problem and anxiety did go away, thanks be to God.
 
1 Peter 3:14-16 Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.

It really helps me whenever I feel discouraged because many people despise me because of my age.
