At the Mass I attend, most of the parishioners have their hands held out during the Lord’s Prayer. I do notice some family members holding hands. I choose to hold my hands together. What posture do you use?

Same here.Hands generally holding a Missal.

Yes, I have read that as well. At the Traditional Latin Mass, no one does the orans position except the priest, and no one holds hands. I like it better that way personally. I don’t think it is allowed to discuss this here, though, since it leads to arguments.I read once (can’t remember which book, but it was an old book) that only the priest should pray in the orans position during mass since he was the one offering the sacrifice. Has anyone else heard that?

I do too. I read that holding your hands up is imitating the priest and the priest alone should do this but others disagree.I keep my hands low and clasped.
