Pray for all Children

Faith: I ask God to speak to all children’s hearts, and allow faith to be increased for every need that may arise in the life of this family, so they may all grow spiritually and be strong witnesses of their faith in Jesus Christ.

“We live by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Hope: As you bring all children to the Lord this week, pray that God will encourage these precious children to keep hoping in Him and believing for His blessings in the home, in school and in project activities.

“Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD” (Psalm 31:24).

Courage: I pray that God will fill all children with courage to stand for the truth without wavering or being influenced by ungodly people. I pray that peer pressure will not affect these children’s lives, that temptations will be overcome, and that a powerful testimony will emerge in these young lives.

“But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you” (Acts 26:16).

Hail Mary…

Lord Jesus, You asked your apostles to let the little children come to You and You laid Your hands on them and blessed them. We ask You now to take all children into Your care and to grant them Your grace and blessings.

Time and circumstances have contributed to forming the children of today’s world, and some of that formation has not been good. People, too, have influenced the children and we ask now that only the good influences may prevail.

Help us to help all children. Help us to find the proper things to do to change their lives for the better. Help us to be trustworthy friends and good examples for the children, so they may grow in wisdom and grace.

Grant that those people and events that have led them away from a good Christian life may no longer have any influence. Let all children, especially our own children and those who have touched our lives come to You. Amen

Forgiveness: I ask God to help the most troubled child to forgive everyone who has caused pain to them, whether it is a parent, a family member, a relative, friends or neighbors, and then lay it all down at the foot of the cross.

“For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you” (Matthew 6:14).

Mercy: As God has been merciful to all children I pray that all children will learn to be merciful to others and trust God for His mercy in every situation. I Pray for a tender heart in all children toward family and friends.

“But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children” (Psalm 103:17).

Prayer to St. Germaine, patroness of abused and neglected children:

Saint Germaine, watch over those children who suffer abuse as you did. Help us to give them the love and protection you only got from God. Give us the courage to speak out against abuse when we know of it. Help us to forgive those who abuse the way you did, without sacrificing the lives of the children who need help. Amen.
