My Parish Priest Father Steve has been diagnosed with cancer. Two weeks ago he went into hospital for an operation and had complications with breathing ,they were unable to operate.
After being on chemotherapy for weeks he has had to start it all over again because of the set back.He is now facing another nine weeks of chemotherapy before he can be operated on again.
Talking to him after mass this week he said it was very hard to deal with, he said I’m not sure if I’m winning or losing.(the battle)

Prayers for Father Steve please
 
I will keep Father Steve in my prayers, may God give him the strength to cope with whatever lies ahead of him and may he always feel the presence of our Lord by his side as he fights this battle. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus i place all my trust in Thee. God Bless
 
May the peace of Jesus Christ enfold him and remain with him in his illness and trials. May the Lord heal him in mind and body and soul. If it is your holy will Jesus, I believe, without a doubt, that, through our prayers of love and faith, you will heal Fr, Steve from his present illness. I thank you Jesus for your goodnes to me alway, and to all your creatures, in time and in eternity.

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry, turn your ear to my prayer, no deceit is on my lips. Amen

We seek thy merciful aid, St. Peregrine, especially for those afflicted or threatened by cancer, by any ailment of the foot, or by any incurable diseases. Please help us quickly to find a cure for cancer, and a remedy for all our human infirmities of soul, mind, and body. Amen.

V. Keep us, O Lord, as the apple of Thine Eye,

Tell Fr Steve that we all really did think we’d lose the parish priest in my son’s Victorian country town. He was so ill with cancer and in hospital for some time. He had chemo and surgery, but he’s back as strong as ever. Lord please let it be so for Fr Steve. How aful that he has to go through the whole process again. I’ll be keeping him in my prayers. Another Australian in CAF Karenanna has an apostolate in praying for cancer patients.
 
Praying for Fr. Steve. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to start again on something so hard to begin with.
