Lord of heaven and earth, we petition You that Joy may have an increase in faith, in hope and in charity as she negotiates the undulating and challenging path which lies before her. May she offer thanks to You when she takes notice of her steady breathing. May she lift her eyes graciously heavenward when rain falls gently upon her. And, may she thank you with each step she takes, as You have granted this out of the purity of Your love. Comfort her in her affliction, that she may receive Your constant help in those times of trial.
