Dear Anu,

God BLESS you for seeking help and prayers. I will indeed pray for your intentions. And God hears everyone’s prayers, because He LOVES everyone. Rest assured that He hears you as well.

I know we’re not supposed to give advice here, but since you asked: Many Christians pray by starting with praise and thanksgiving for the blessings in their life. Then, they move on to petitions, where you ask something of the Lord. Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Christians also believe in intercessory prayer, where you ask a saint to pray along with you to God.

But any time we think of God and attempt to unite our heart with His, we are praying. That’s what it’s really all about.

I would HIGHLY encourage you to go to your local Catholic parish and ask about “RCIA” (or Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). If you believe in Jesus, you should learn more about the faith and become baptized and all that. Not only would that have benefits as far as alleviating your loved one’s family’s concerns, but it would have enormous benefits for you personally as well, which I will refrain from trying to list here.

God bless you.

anu, please obtain a bible in your native language so that you will understand it. By reading the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John), you will begin to know the Heart of Jesus. Once you know His Heart, you will also know how to pray. Jesus teaches us to pray in Matthew 6:9-13 when He says:

"This, then, is how you should pray:

‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one’."

Start with this prayer, the basic prayer of all Christians. We pray it every mass in the Catholic church. There is a Catholic Church near you. If you have decided to love Jesus, go there and ask the Priest about joining the church. It will require going to classes, and it will take some time, but if you show good faith to your fiance’s parents, they will think differently about you.

Do not become Christian just for your fiance, or for your marriage, but for love of Jesus. He died so that you can live forever with Him in heaven. God will reward your faith and love, but He answers your prayers in His own time. Be patient as God is patient.

God bless you and may Christ’s peace be with you.

Praying for you Anu. :gopray2:

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

I will join you in prayer. God hears all prayer, we just sometimes fail to listen to his answer.

Dear Anu…keeping your intentions and hopes in daily prayer. To pray, simply talk to Jesus…

May God’s Will be done

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death. Amen.

Hi Anu!

I have placed your petitions within my heart and will carry them with me to daily Mass and I will remember your petitions in my daily prayers.

I am praying for you too

Just sitting with your loved one and thanking GOD for being alive and together, and the joy you bring each other…is praying and being thankful. Jesus said…where 2 or 3 are gathered in My Name, I am there - so HE is listening ( this is so that you doubt no more, whether you are being heard or not )

Start learning to pray with your loved one and I don’t know how easy it is, but try and make his family see that you are wanting to start somewhere.
Is there anyone in his family that you can approach and ask for help in this regard? This would help, not only with praying, but to get on the right side of one of the family members, who will feed back to the rest, the real YOU.

Good luck and God bless

Thank you, we are praying indivudually but cannot pray together. Please continue to pray for me.

Thank you all
Anu

Please say the following prayer right now to release 1,000 souls from purgatory (Approval and Recommendation signed by M. Cardinal Pahiarca, Lisbon, Portugal March 4, 1936.): Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy Souls in Purgatory. Amen
