Pray for me.

I’m gonna try to keep this short.
Since I was 12, I have been addicted to self-gratification. I didn’t even have porn at the time, but eventually it lead to that. For 5 long years, I have been repeating my same mistakes again and again. The worst part is, it destroyed what little prayer life I had. Over the course of these past years, I have tried innumerable times to stop. But, as someone once said: “You either stop sinning or stop praying the rosary”.
The worst part about this is my vocation. Ever since I was in 4th grade (it happened during class), I have been interested in the priesthood. Now that I am currently applying for colleges, I feel so drawn to at least doing a priestly discernment program. However, I cannot find myself telling my parents or really anyone that I want to do it. My parents have a very small understanding that I have an interest about it, but it feels much more serious than that. I believe my reason for being so silent about it is my lack of prayer life and my addiction. I dont have any qualities for becoming a priest. I have no self discipline, I’m engulfed in sin, and I dont seem willing to give up my possessions ( of which are many).

So here I am, in my bed on Sunday night, unable to sleep because I know my future is at stake and it is all my fault.

Pray for me.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to his assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

**Most dear Jesus,
filled with sorrow during the agony in the garden,
covered with a sweat of blood while praying,
have mercy on us, O Lord.

Most dear Jesus,
delivered into the hands of the wicked by a kiss,
bound like a robber,
and abandoned by your disciples,
have mercy on us, O Lord.

Most dear Jesus,
condemned to death by an unjust Council,
taken as an evildoer before Pilate,
and ridiculed by the wicked Herod,
have mercy on us, O Lord.

Most dear Jesus,
publicly shorn of your garments,
and most cruelly scourged at the pillar,
have mercy on us, O Lord.

Most dear Jesus,
crowned with thorns,
beaten and blindfolded,
clothed in rich purple and mocked,
have mercy on us, O Lord.

Most dear Jesus,
likened to the infamous Barabbas,
rejected by your people,
and unjustly sentenced to death,
have mercy on us, O Lord.

Most dear Jesus,
burdened with the weight of the Cross
and led to the place of execution like a lamb to the slaughter,
have mercy on us, O Lord.

Most dear Jesus,
reckoned with the wicked, blasphemed, and derided,
and given gall to drink to mitigate your pain,
have mercy on us, O Lord.

Most dear Jesus,
dying on the Cross in the presence of Mary,
pierced with a lance that drew blood and water from your side,
have mercy on us, O Lord.

Most dear Jesus,
taken down and placed in the arms of your Sorrowful Mother,
have mercy on us, O Lord.

Most dear Jesus,
horribly bruised and marked with five wounds,
annointed for burial and placed in a tomb,
have mercy on us, O Lord.

My Jesus,
I thank you for dying on the Cross for my sins.
Have mercy on us, O Lord.

Amen.

May God be with you as you conquer your addiction.

Memorare

REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom to overcome your temptations.

It’s not all your fault. You have an addiction like any other which lessens culpability often and it may take some help from a counselor to overcome it. Do not give up but do seek some type of support or group to help you be accountable.

Your honesty about your issue shows you would like to quit and may God assist you with many graces and take away your desire for such.
God bless,

Mary.

I totally understand your turmoil. I have struggled with self gratification and pornography for many years. I am always remorseful and ashamed when I have to confess, yet one more time, that I have fallen to the temptation that besets me. Please do not give up! I find when I am sorely tempted, praying the Hail Mary can help. I am praying for you.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Tim,
you are not alone…you show much courage…just lay it all down, put it in the Lord’s hands
I am praying for you and your vocation.

I pray that you reconnect with your prayer life, every start is still a start and is better than having not tried. I pray that you come to understand the will of God in your vocation and discern well, he is with you. I pray that you gain the virtues you feel you need to attain, and the opportunity to engage the ones you already possess. Be on guard, stand firm in the Faith, be courageous, be strong. Amen.

Praying for your intention and for the grace to oversome your challenges.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
