Pray for me.
I’m gonna try to keep this short.
Since I was 12, I have been addicted to self-gratification. I didn’t even have porn at the time, but eventually it lead to that. For 5 long years, I have been repeating my same mistakes again and again. The worst part is, it destroyed what little prayer life I had. Over the course of these past years, I have tried innumerable times to stop. But, as someone once said: “You either stop sinning or stop praying the rosary”.
The worst part about this is my vocation. Ever since I was in 4th grade (it happened during class), I have been interested in the priesthood. Now that I am currently applying for colleges, I feel so drawn to at least doing a priestly discernment program. However, I cannot find myself telling my parents or really anyone that I want to do it. My parents have a very small understanding that I have an interest about it, but it feels much more serious than that. I believe my reason for being so silent about it is my lack of prayer life and my addiction. I dont have any qualities for becoming a priest. I have no self discipline, I’m engulfed in sin, and I dont seem willing to give up my possessions ( of which are many).
So here I am, in my bed on Sunday night, unable to sleep because I know my future is at stake and it is all my fault.
Pray for me.
