Pray for my daughter

Praying Lord that my beautiful daughter’s dream comes true as she hopes.

What she asks for may seem to others like something that would be impossible or improbable or take a miracle, but we know that with you Lord, all things are possible. If it your will Lord, I ask that you grant our intention as my daughter hopes it will enfold. She is logical, determined, faithful and truly believes that you will bring about what she asks. And maybe You won’t bring it in the manner in which she requests it, but if You would, wow!

Lord, I ask you to inspire the friend’s heart to act on my daughter’s behalf. Fill him with compassion for her request. Speak through this person and let him be Your voice to break down the walls her ex has built up around himself. Move him so greatly that he sees the truth and returns to my daughter. Remove all pride and any doubt that would keep him from her. I ask this through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, Mary.

Finding it a struggle sometimes to hold on. The feeling of what is possible and what is currently going on make the hours drift in and out between hope and despair. There are times when even I still feel a great loss, I can’t imagine what my daughter feels and how she manages to go on. But then other times Lord, we feel so renewed in our feeling that this is what will be, that we feel like we are merely waiting for The Time it will be as we pray for. You could not have created something so beautiful and positive only to end it for no reason at all. Too many plans and too many dreams were confided in one another for these two young people to be “done” with each other. She still tells me conversations they had and I am touched by the tenderness and promise of what they spoke of. How could we think anything other than that they are meant for more than this? Love just does not go away overnight. And so, we continue to pray for something to lead him back to where he was meant to be. Still, he will not be able to intervene until Thanksgiving break, so we fervently pray until then, that you will fill him with compassion for her request. Speak boldly through Dan and let him be Your voice to break down the walls her ex has built up around himself. Move him so greatly that he sees the truth of what he has walked away from for both of their lives, and return to my daughter. Remove all pride and any doubt that would keep him from her. I ask this through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, Mary.
 
Irishmom you are an amazing mother and your daughter is very blessed to have you.I know with your loving support your daughter will be able to do anything in her life.May God bless you and your daughter as you both deal with this emotional upheaval.Continued prayers for you my friend.

Thank you Lord for the gift of love that these young people have shared together and are experiencing through the unfailing support and prayer of IrishMom2 and everyone who is praying.

You are the source of all love, Lord and we know that You have conquered all. If it be your will, please break down all barriers to the reunion of this couple that is so well-suited. Give comfort to all concerned and through the power of Your Holy Spirit, put the right words in the mouth of Dan as he speaks to the young man. We pray that this boy hears with his heart, a heart which still holds love for our friend’s daughter. Holy Spirit, work before, during and after that conversation so that the way will be opened for love once more.

Our world needs examples of true, selfless love, Lord and it seems that this couple has shared that. Please, if it be your will, hear our prayers and reunite them.

Lord, please protect “our young man” from those that seek to use him for their own selfish reasons, those that care for themselves and not for him. Shield him from those that would influence him to make harmful choices so that they are not alone in their own immature endeavors. Keep from the weakness that would cause him to succumb.

O Lord, please be there for my daughter when all she feels is alone. In the past few days, she has had to endure various instances of being ignored, ridiculed by classmates, and has just not in general felt very hopeful. She is praying at all times I know, but can find no relief for the pain and emptiness she feels. She is still grieving her loss, and yet, the one she has lost is still there and now suddenly, he will not even acknowledge her when he sees her. She cannot understand how if he is so “over her” he would act this way. He actually runs from the room or will not look at her. If anyone mentions her he shuts down. This is so totally out of character for him. This is so not the young man we knew, or else he was a total fraud for two years. Perhaps if that were the case, he would be easier to forget. He had the opportunity to be a compassionate human being toward her yesterday when a friend told him about my mother in law being in the hospital. Instead of finding in his heart to contact her and try and make her feel better, he did nothing.

I am, perhaps for the first time in months, very angry Lord at this young man… I am finding it hard to keep my feelings under control. How can he be like this to her after all they have been through? It is unimaginable that he can just turn his back on her one day and not look back over his shoulder. This is not the young man we knew. I don’t know who this is. Maybe I am angry because I feel duped. Maybe he really was this jerk all along? No, I don’t really believe that. But where does this leave her then?

Praying Lord that you will guide my daughter quickly and with the least amount of pain to where you want her to be. Your ways are mysterious Lord and we cannot know what your plan is, but still it makes no sense at all. Please end her suffering if it is not your will for this to work out. I worry the affect all of this will have on her as well as the toll it will take on any future relationships. She has already said she is not able to trust what anyone says anymore because of him. She trusted that he loved her and everything he said, and now she finds what he said was, if not false at the time, so easily thrown away… Why believe what anyone says after that?

I apologize Lord for the ramblings for a mother that just does not know what to say anymore to her daughter that will help her through this. Please guide me and inspire my words so that they will be helpful and not hurtful. I ask this through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, Mary.
 
Dear Irishmom,

If there is bad then there has to be good. Tell your daughter that although this relationship may not end well it was not all in vain. There were joyous times, and learning and growth. All experiences work together to form us and teach us. Whatever she gained from the relationship is not lost. The road of life does not always run straight and even but it does keep running. There will be straight and level paths again. Life moves forward and this is, in the overall scheme, a temporary moment. I tell my children that you never know what may be just around the corner of your life. At any given moment you may be passing your future spouse. Hang in there. Things will get better again.
