Please Lord, remove any pride that would keep this young man from realizing his mistakes and changing his decisions. Show him that shutting out the ones that care for him is not helpful nor healthy and can only cause him further stress and depression. Help him choose a path that will allow him to live life as he has expressed an interest in in the past and not the one he is on now. Help him to see that his loneliness now is a result of this and all the shallow friendships he involves himself in now are only making him feel the loss more. Shield him from bad influences and behavior. May his parents realize the affect their disconnect from him has had on his life and step up their efforts to reach out to him from now on.
Help me find the right words to comfort and heal my daughter in her pain and loneliness, when none of what is happening makes any sense to her and she tells me how sad she is.

As the day wears on Lord, I hear the desperation and fatigue in my daughter’s voice and still she waits for something positive to come from you. If it is your will, I ask that you move things along in her favor and answer her prayers.
Another thank you for all who pray so faithfully for her intention. I don’t know how we would have gotten through these last couple of months if not for the encouragement and prayers offered here.

Hi Irishmom.
Just wanted you to know that you are in my heart always. I think of you often throughout the day. I pray for you and your daughter every time I pray for my son. Which is almost every hour. I have a daughter in college myself so I sympathize with what you are going through. Thank you for all your prayers. I believe they are heard. My son’s situation has improved and for that I am grateful. He just isn’t happy. As I mom, I can’t be happy until I know he is. His life just needs a boost. He needs friends, a girlfriend, and some self esteem and confidence. As you have said, these intentions seem so minimal in light of the others on this forum. But when your child is suffering nothing else matters in your life. I know you understand this. I know that God understands too. There must be a reason for all of this. Jesus I trust in You.

Lord, please reveal your will to us. If it is not your will that things work out for my daughter, please help her to see that. She feels so strongly that the love she feels is the love that this young man feels and yet, nothing has changed. He is still the same stressed out person he was two months ago and resists even the smallest attempts on her part to connect with such strange reactions, it is as if he is trying to convince himself, not her, that it is over. She has a plan to enlist a friend’s help to help sort this all out and perhaps she should follow through with it to see once and for all if this will ever be. I know all good things take time and come in your time Lord, not ours. In my heart, I also believe he still loves her, I just don’t know if that matters to him in the way it should. You alone make all things possible, Lord. I ask that you end my daughter’s suffering if this is not to be. I am afraid of what this is and will end up doing to her.
I will be driving to school to bring my daughter home for a long weekend tomorrow. May it be a time of soul-searching and healing, but most of all, a rest from the daily loneliness and sadness that she has been feeling for over two months now. Her life was shattered when she was blindsided by the one she loves. Put her back together Lord and have her feel Your Love.

Thank you Lord for a safe trip to my daughter’s school and home again.
May this weekend be a time of peace, and renewal for her. May she connect with some of her friends from home and feel their friendship and not the empty feeling of these past few months. Help us all to make her feel better, and may her time at home and the peace it brings her be something that can carry her over when she returns to school on Monday.
Please hear our prayers for her and for the young man she so deeply loves. Help us to see your will Lord, whatever it is, because honestly right now, we don’t know what that is. They have come so far for things to end this way, for no reason. Open the heart of her ex boyfriend, that when he looks inside, he sees only his love for my daughter outshining anything that may be weighing him down and standing in the way of his return.
ST Michael, continue to watch over this young man and shield him from harm. Keep him safe from harm and be with him in choosing to do only good and not anything that would be damaging to him.
I beg of you to hear our prayers and grant us our intentions, through the intercession of your Most Holy and Beloved Mother, Mary.
