PRAYER TO ST. ANTHONY
FOR HEALING
Compassionate St. Anthony,
you are called the “Miracle Worker”
by those who have been blessed by your special friendship.
I ask you to look with favor on (name the person) mother with cancer
who is weak and failing.

Great St. Anthony, come to the assistance of (name).
Obtain for him/her health in mind and body,
and the strength to accept all suffering in union with Christ, our Savor.

Loving St. Anthony,
console all those who are afflicted,
and guide them to the heart of the Divine Physician,
where they will obtain compassion, mercy and hope.

Amen.

Lord I don’t know what today is going to bring or tomorrow. I know that whatever comes you will give the grace to see it through. Let my prayers reach out to find that lost soul, be it a friend, husband, daughter or son, who today may need my prayers more than I need them. Let my suffering pave the way for my family and friends to find the strength and love that I have found in you. Amen

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Lord help me
to remember
that nothing
is going to happen
to me today
that You and I
together can’t handle.
Amen.

Dear Blessed Mother, watch over my friends mom today. Bring her peace of mind and strength of body. May her days ahead be filled with joy and may those who care for her find solace in your arms. Amen

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more.
You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you, Cynthia Mernagh and her family. Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.
Amen

Mother at your feet is kneeling, one who loves you 'tis your child
Who has sighed so oft to see you, bless me mother, bless your child.
Mary oh my dearest mother, may it ere to me be giv’n
As on earth I fondly love thee, so to love thee still in heaven.
Dearest Mother tell my Jesus, how I love him fond and true
And oh Mary dearest mother, tell him I belong to you.

Mother, please help the mother of my friend today and help those who take care of her. May the troubles of her affliction and the cares of those who serve her be met with thy compassion and love. We fly to thy patronage, O holy Mother of God: we fly to thy patronage, O holy Mother of God. Amen

May Christ support us all the day long,
till the shadows lengthen,
and the evening comes,
and the busy world is hushed,
and the fever of life is over
and our work is done.
Then in his mercy
may he give us a safe lodging,
and holy rest and peace at the last.

Amen.

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O merciful, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen.

Lord, please help the mother of my friend today and help those who take care of her. May the troubles of her affliction and the cares of those who serve her be met with thy compassion and love. Amen.

PRAYER FOR HEALING

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved:
for you are my praise.
I praise you, mighty Father.
You forgive all my iniquities,
and you heal all my diseases.
Thank you, Lord. When I am sick,
you send your Word,
and it heals me and delivers me
from all destructions.
Your Word is life to me,
and it brings healing to my flesh.
Thank you for the healing power of your Word, Father.
I will never let it depart from my eyes.
I will keep your Word deeply implanted within my heart.
Praise your name, holy Father.
I love you, and I thank you
for healing me
and keeping me in good health.

Amen.

Lord, please help the mother of my friend today. Send your angel to give her the strength to face today and what it brings. Let those who help care for her do so unceasingly. Bring healing and comfort to all. For these Lord, do I pray. 🙂

Dear Lord, let today be a good day and guide the foot steps of those suffering from cancer especially the mother of my friend. Send thy graces to ebb the tide of everyday anxieties that must surely enter into her heart. See that those around her continue to encourage and care for her unwaveringly. For these Lord do I pray.🙂

THE PRAYER, COURAGE TO ACCOMPANY YOU LORD
(By Bede Jarrett, OP)

Courage to accompany you, Lord
Lord, give us all the courage we need
to go the way you shepherd us,
that when you call
we may go unfrightened.
If you bid us come to you across the waters,
that we may not be frightened as we go.
And if you bid us climb the hill,
may we not notice that it is a hill,
mindful only of the happiness of your company.
You made us for yourself,
that we should travel with you
and see you at last in your unveiled beauty
in the abiding city,
where you are light and happiness
and endless home.

Amen.
