Beautiful and open hearted story, David…thank you very much for sharing it:thumbsup: . The Lord provides for us all along our way that often we do not sight until we look back with the benefit of hindsight.
Praying for your wife and that all will unfold happily where her health is concerned and sufficiently for you both to travel to the Phillipines at the end of this year. God be with you both!
Praying The Rosary this afternoon for all CAF members and those with special intentions…
It’s been such a terrible and wonderful day. I brought my wife to the hospital this morning, and got there before they opened. We prayed the rosary together, both of us in tears at times, thinking about our Lord in his sorrowful mysteries. Her favorite daugther and a nephew arrived, and we sat and talked after we finished praying. They took her in and prepped her, then we were able to sit with her until all ‘hell’ broke loose. The anesthesiologist came in, talked to her, another doctor, finally they were ready to wheel her away. She got a very scared look on her face, started crying, and I broke down a little. Then she was gone. My step-daughter and I went to the chapel with my nephew. We prayed. I took my Magnificat, prayed the Morning Prayers, then contemplated on all that had happened to us-good and bad.
To make a long story short, we waited, and waited, and waited, finally the surgeon came to talk to us. You may know that if the surgeon sits to talk to you, its usually bad. Well, our surgeon came into the waiting room after 1 1/2 hours, and told us that he got it out of her. It was spreading, but had not spread outside the lung. They took a piece of the middle lobe as well as the upper lobe.
Finally I was able to see my bride of 20 years. She’s breathing with help, and of course she’s on pain meds. She’s staying in ICU tonight, and tomorrow they may remove the chest tubes. The miracle, other than removing the cancer, is that she may be home by Monday. She is already working that she may be able to attend a family reunion on the occasion of her mother’s 100th birthday in the Philippines at the end of this month. I believe it will take a miracle, but I also believe that God will perform miracles for those who are worthy.

Anyway, I wanted to give you all some info, and to thank you for your prayers. You are in my heart.

David (please use the full name? I was good ole’ Dave in my old life of terrible sin. My proper name is David, after David who was the father of Solomon, always called David, not Dave.)

Again, thank you for your beautiful prayers. Thank you, Blessed Mother, Sacred Heart, and Holy Father!

Praying and thanking God,for your turn around, and what it has led to.GOD has a plan, for you and your wife.Praise the LORD

Dear David…some real signs of hope…will continue to keep your wife in daily prayer and the family and friends too at this worrying time. Praying too that you get to the Phillipines as planned. 100th. birthday!!! Wow! that is a milestone indeed! Happy birthday to your wife’s mother…

Just to follow up with everyone,

My wife may be coming home today. They got all the cancer out, they believe, and I do too, her tubes have been removed. One more xray, and the process may be done, except for the scars and healing.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. It’s important that you know how much prayers help in every situation.

God Bless you all.

Thanks for the update. Glad all went well. With continued prayers. - Joe

Thank you for your prayers. As for follow up, my wife has had follow-up tests, with no need for any chemo, radiation, or further surgery. Continued prayers will, as always, be welcome!

God bless you all.

God is good! I will be praying for you and your wife, David. God bless you both…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and in the hour of our death. Amen.

David, I am soooo happy for you and your wife! I pray heartily that this is THE END of any dealings with cancer for you and your wife. I love the positive attitude you both exhibit. What an example.
