Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

A new report. The doctors were going to take the breathing tube out today, but found compactions that would require surgery Nelson could not survive. But if they took the breathing tube out Nelson would not make the night. The family was called in to make a decision. His son couldn’t in his heart make the decision. So the doctors and family went to Nelson, who is fully awake, and explained to him what was going on. It was said Nelson took his time thinking about it. Nelson on his own said, (in writing), no surgery, take the breathing tube out. I have been told every time Nelson is checked on he’s changing channels on the tv. 🤷

Well…, if Nelson can keep on changing t.v.channels, I can keep on praying 👍

For the intentions of Nelson Burt:

Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail, Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair,
nor become despondent,
but with great confidence submit ourselves
to Your holy will, which is love and mercy itself. Amen.

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.

*St. Jude

Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of difficult cases, of things almost despaired of, Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone.
Intercede with God for me that He bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly for the soul and body of Nelson, and that I may praise God with you and all the saints forever. I promise, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor granted me by God and to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.

Amen*

Thank You St. Jude

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

***Almighty Eternal God,
in Your fatherly goodness,
be kind to the soul of Your servant, Nelson.
Cleanse him whom You have called from this world
of all his faults,
take him into the Realm of Light and Peace
and into the Community of Your Saints,
and give him his share
of Eternal Delight in Your Kingdom.
God, You Creator and Saviour of all the faithful,
forgive all the sins of all Your servants souls.
Let them receive forgiveness
