Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

DE PROFUNDIS

Out of the depths I have cried to Thee, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice.
Let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
If Thou, O Lord, shalt observe iniquities; Lord, who shall endure it?
For with Thee there is merciful forgiveness:
and by reason of Thy law, I have waited for Thee, O Lord.
My soul hath relied on His word; my soul hath hoped in the Lord.
From the morning watch even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord.
Because with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him plentiful redemption.
And He shall redeem Israel from all her iniquities.
Eternal rest give unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
Let us pray.
O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all the faithful,
grant to the souls of Thy servants departed the remission of all their sins, that through our pious supplication they may obtain that pardon which they have always desired; who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.

Praying for them now and I will remember their families in my rosary prayers tonight…

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace.
Amen.

The souls of the just are in the hand of God
and no torment shall touch them.
– Wisdom 3:1

May they rest in peace. :gopray:

Also, may the hearts, minds, and souls of the perpetrators of this horrific evil be converted to the Gospel of love and peace and repentance.

May the martyred blood of these persons become a seed for growth of the Catholic Faith in the place where they gave their lives, and in all places in the world where the Church is under persecution and the faithful are hindered or prohibited from practicing the Faith.

:amen:

Hail Mary, full of grace.

May God give rest to the pious souls who came to witness to Jesus, and became Martyrs. My prayers remain with them in the coming days, especially tomorrow on All Souls day,

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let Your Perpetual Light Shine upon them. . .

Our Father. . .

Hail Mary . . .

Glory Be. . .

His Mercy 2011

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Wow! I hope that these perpetrators are caught immediately and put in prison to rot or repent! Hopefully the martyrs prayers will convert them to Catholicism! 👍👍 This so incredibly sad though. :crying: I have no doubt that these martyrs are now in Heaven!

Catechism of the Catholic Church said:
2473 *Martyrdom *is the supreme witness given to the truth of the faith: it means bearing witness even unto death. The martyr bears witness to Christ who died and rose, to whom he is united by charity. He bears witness to the truth of the faith and of Christian doctrine. He endures death through an act of fortitude. "Let me become the food of the beasts, through whom it will be given me to reach God."271

2474 The Church has painstakingly collected the records of those who persevered to the end in witnessing to their faith. These are the acts of the Martyrs. They form the archives of truth written in letters of blood:

Neither the pleasures of the world nor the kingdoms of this age will be of any use to me. It is better for me to die [in order to unite myself] to Christ Jesus than to reign over the ends of the earth. I seek him who died for us; I desire him who rose for us. My birth is approaching. . .272 I bless you for having judged me worthy from this day and this hour to be counted among your martyrs. . . . You have kept your promise, God of faithfulness and truth. For this reason and for everything, I praise you, I bless you, I glorify you through the eternal and heavenly High Priest, Jesus Christ, your beloved Son. Through him, who is with you and the Holy Spirit, may glory be given to you, now and in the ages to come. Amen.273
271 St. Ignatius of Antioch, Ad Rom. 4,1:SCh 10,110.
272 St. Ignatius of Antioch, Ad Rom. 6,1-2:SCh 10,114.
273 Martyrium Polycarpi 14,2-3:PG 5,1040; SCh 10,228.

I may be wrong about the faith of these martyrs. However, whether or not they are martyrs of course depends on the circumstances of the death. Were they forced to give up their Faith or die? If so, they are definitely martyrs. If not, I don’t know.

That I said, I pray for all involved, including family and relatives:

Remember oh most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee oh Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

May God protect the faith of the survivors and grant them peace and hope in this time of immense sorrow, confusion, and anger over the violence.

By Thy resurrection from the dead, O Christ, death no longer has dominion over those who die in holiness. So, we beseech Thee, give rest to Thy servants in Thy sanctuary and in Abraham’s bosom. Grant it to those, who from Adam until now have adored Thee with purity, to our fathers and brothers, to our kinsmen and friends, to all men who have lived by faith and passed on their road to Thee, by a thousand ways, and in all conditions, and make them worthy of the heavenly kingdom. Amen.
