For those of you who are not familiar with John 8:1-11, here it is in the Douay Rheims Bible:
(John 8:1 DRB) And Jesus went unto mount Olivet.
(John 8:2 DRB) And early in the morning he came again into the temple: and all the people came to him. And sitting down he taught them.
(John 8:3 DRB) And the scribes and Pharisees bring unto him a woman taken in adultery: and they set her in the midst,
(John 8:4 DRB) And said to him: Master, this woman was even now taken in adultery.
(John 8:5 DRB) Now Moses in the law commanded us to stone such a one. But what sayest thou?
(John 8:6 DRB) And this they said tempting him, that they might accuse him. But Jesus bowing himself down, wrote with his finger on the ground.
(John 8:7 DRB) When therefore they continued asking him, he lifted up himself and said to them: He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
(John 8:8 DRB) And again stooping down, he wrote on the ground.
(John 8:9 DRB) But they hearing this, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest. And Jesus alone remained, and the woman standing in the midst.
(John 8:10 DRB) Then Jesus lifting up himself, said to her: Woman, where are they that accused thee? Hath no man condemned thee?
(John 8:11 DRB) Who said: No man, Lord. And Jesus said: Neither will I condemn thee. Go, and now sin no more.
Is this woman going to be stoned for adultery or something?
Regardless:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Remember oh most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee oh Virgin of virgins. To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Oh clement, oh loving, oh sweet Virgin Mary, pray for us oh holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.
Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.
