These last few weeks have been an emotional rollercoaster, and it hasn’t been getting better despite my prayers. My boyfriend’s daughters were kidnapped by his ex-wife (please continue to pray for him), and he’s depressed and unable to see me. I want to be supportive and loving, but I feel like I have so little to give right now. I’m trying to write my Master’s thesis, and I’m working full-time as well. I was already stressed out from school and work before my boyfriend’s crisis hit. I’m supposed to start a second full-time job in July, and although I’m looking forward to it, I’m not sure I can handle working two jobs.
I’m trying to be strong. I’m trying to manage to juggle school, work, and being a supportive girlfriend in his time of grief. All I really want is a hug, and I can’t even get that. I’m far away from my family, and the friends who live close to me are opposed to me dating a divorced man and so I haven’t told them what’s going on. The nearest English-speaking Church is an hour away from me, and I’m not even Catholic, but CAF is the only place where people seem to care.
I’m barely eating one meal a day, and I’m lucky if I get four hours of sleep a night. When I do eat, I have this urge to throw it all up, but so far I’ve resisted. I struggled with an eating disorder in my teens and don’t want to repeat that.
I’m trying to limit my worrying and despair, and I’m going to try to get at least half an hour of exercise and sunlight a day, but I think I need more than that. Pray for me, please? (And for my boyfriend and his daughters, of course.)
