Hi Everyone,
I was hoping someone on the forum can shed some light on my experiencing. In the past I haven’t really ever prayed the rosary partially because I was never really taught how. Lately I’ve been experiencing a strong desire to the pray the rosary and am learning how. I really started in full force this last week with the 40 Days for Life Campaign. I am very prolife and have been praying the rosary in front of the clinic. (I’ve done vigils before, but adding the rosary is new).
The first day that I prayed the rosary I said an entire rosary in front of a clinic (which was amazing for me since I more or less hadn’t really prayed the rosary seriously before). Anyhow, that went great. I felt so at peace. The rest of my day was horribly hellish. Seriously, everything that could go wrong did. I had a major delay at the mechanics which cost me lots of money, really stressed me out, and used up hours of time I didn’t have almost leaving me without a car for the rest of the day.
The minute I got home and had riggled free of that mess, my parents needed my help with a financial crisis that occupied my time for hours more, and left me stressed and frustruated. There were numerous other little things that happend as well. I barely finished with that in time to pick my 12 year old sister in law up from school so I could take her to pray the rosary at in front of a clinic in the afternoon. Both the car and the billing crisis almost prevented me from doing that.
Am I reading too much into it, or is my starting to pray the rosary related to the no good horrible terrible rotten days I’ve had?
Despite all these things, I am happy to say that I’ve been able to keep a really positive attitude and not loose my cool. That in itself is a minor miracle since I’ve been struggling with anger and depression for the last few months. I’m interested to hear what others who may be more experienced with the rosary and prayer life in general think?
