May I ask you for prayer for my husband, please. His life is difficult. Several years ago when he was 43 he had a complete stress breakdown. He had the strongest will, so persevered beyond the point of return to health and has never been able to work since. If there’s such a thing as chronic fatigue, he has that, together with constant pain from arthritis. He can endure little aural or visual (name removed by moderator)ut and I surpress my tendency to enthusiasm around him so as not to exhaust him. One can’t speak much and not in much detail about anything or it stresses him out and can give him headaches. In the end, after many treatments psychiatrists gave up on him as the percent who never recover. He had gone for help some years before final breakdown, because he was troubled by his anger and aggressiveness, as he was driven and a total perfectionist, but he didn’t change his ways, only if anything became more obsessive.
He never imagined he’d ever stop working, so it continues to pain him to feel useless. He always had to acheive, even on weekends. We lost our home after his breakdown as the interest rates were over 17% at that time, thus he doesn’t have a garden to wander in, just the flat where we rent. He is a good man, incredibly so in some ways and he’d step in front of a bullet to protect any of us. When asked by one psychiatrist, “…, what broke your heart?” he a convert who had given his best to his practice of the faith (from which he lapsed many years ago), replied, “God did. I tried my very best and there was no response.” One might have the answers for that, but to a practical man who gave his best in everything always, it doesn’t cut ice. I simply pray for him. He has depression, of course. I do what I can in little ways to make him feel cherished and a bit easier, bandaid stuff really. Will you pray for him, please. Thank you, Trishie

I felt like this was written about me, going thru much of the same. I have prayed for him.

I will begin praying for him tonight. He will remain in my prayers as will you. God can heal all things!

Trishie, you have been such a comfort to me. I prayed for you last night. Now I will add your husband to my prayers. God bless you and him.

Trishie. We just don’t understand why these things happen like they do…I’m keeping you and him in my prayers. May God lighten your load and may the Holy Spirit fill you with peace and keep you free from so much anxiety.

Praying very hard to St. Dymphna for your husband, Trishie. God bless you!

Dear Trishie, you are obviously a blessing to him, so I am praying for you both.

Thank you so much for your prayers for my husband and me. May God bless each of you, many times over, for your love and prayer. Trishie

Dear Lord,
With all my heart I pray, that Trishie’s husband gets better. Please help him to feel his wifes love and Your love as well. Please help him to feel the comfort that so many want so deeply to give to him. Please let him know that he truly is loved.

He will be in my prayers and thoughts.

Thank you, Dragoro, for your beautiful heartfelt prayer for my husband and me.

And I was pleased to see the change in your signature. I wanted to say, you do have Catholic friends, but you worked it out for yourself. Won’t it be great when we all meet in heaven!

Dear Trishie, you are obviously a blessing to him, so I am praying for you both.
Thank you
and I thank each of your for your kind loving prayers. As I said to Dragoro, it will be great to all meet in heaven. Think how we will all welcome each other since we have already met in the Spirit! Trishie

Lord, You alone conceived of Trishie and her husband from all eternity as the two which would become one flesh in You. Your Hand safeguarded them throughout their lives, joining them together as one flesh when the time was full. You have sustained them through their marriage, filling them with hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. You have borne with them in each of their trials and carefully sheltered them from harm. At this time in their lives, let not this affliction temper the enthusiasm which Trishie has for You, or for him. Let not this affliction, which answers to Your Mighty Command, disrupt the blessed work which You have accomplished in this Sacramental marriage. Lord, we call upon You to command this burden to leave him, to abandon the soul it has tormented all of these years. We call upon the Saints of healing to intercede on behalf of Trishie and her husband, since they are one flesh in two persons, and both suffer terribly. Graciously incline Your ear to hear the intercession of Jesus Christ, Who sits at Your Right Hand. In Your mercy, join our prayers together with those of the Angels and Saints to form an unceasing petition for relief from this spiritual torment! Humbly, Lord, do we ask this through the same Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God for ever and ever. Amen! Aleluia!

Thank you for you deeply-considered, powerful prayer. I say “amen” to all that you have prayed so sincerely.

May God hear and grant all your prayers and fulfil His dream for and through you in all things.

Gratefully, Trishie

My dear sister Trishie. God has placed a great struggle and burden on you both. I can identify completely with your hubby. I lost 3 jobs in one year…I would be employed and then the probationary period would hit and I would be let go because I didn’t fit in. I still don’t know what I did wrong. Had 2 solid long careers and then a string of misfortune. My latest was last Friday when I was fired…but this time I “THINK” it was because I took so much time off to take my husband (Joe) to drs. appts., and got so many calls at work from the drs (he was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer)…I have just been sitting around staring into an empty space…and he cries.I will pray for you and your husband. God please help Trishie and her husband. They are both struggling and need your help. Please intervene and make things whole. Give them the gift of peace and free them from anxiety. Bless her husband and help him not to lose faith that things will turn around and they will once again feel and share all the loving blessings you have given us here on earth despite the struggles.
