Jesus, Help Me Prayer

In every need let me come to You with humble trust, saying:
Jesus, help me!

In all my doubts, perplexities and temptations:
Jesus, help me!

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!

In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments, troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!

When others fail me, and Your grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!

When I throw myself on Your tender Love as a Father and Savior:
Jesus, help me!

When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!

When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!

When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and shortcomings of every kind:
Jesus, help me and never forsake me. - Amen

Father, once again I pray:
For love of Jesus, please flood Your healing grace upon those who succumb to their addictions and habits that keep them from living full lives.

Please grant that they will accept the healing and new life that You are offering them. Please help them to persevere and to live a wholesome, happy, faith-filled life. I ask the fullness of life in You for their family and friends.

Father we ask Your powerful healing, in the name of Your beloved Son,
for all who suffer with addiction,
and for their families.
Please protect others from being drawn into addiction with them.

Father, in Jesus’ name, please help all those who are struggling with addiction.
Father forgive and heal them.
Please urge them to avoid occasions of sin, each time temptation arises.
Please lead them to activities that honour You and benefit others and their own well-being.
Please give them strength to resist to temptations against gospel living.
Please surround their lives with Your light and love.

Thank You, Father
Loving God,

I lift up intentions today on behalf of Dan, a son of family friends, who has been doing well since his release from jail and move to a halfway house. Please continue to bless, have mercy, and strengthen Dan as he walks the journey of life. Please help this fall, and this time in jail, be the motivation he needs to turn his life around. Lord, please help Dan to walk the narrow path and respond to your guidance in his life. Please help all who minister to and coach Dan to be the witnesses he needs to sustain the changes in his life with your unconditional love and the call of your Holy Spirit leading the way.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.

Amen.

  • Praying for all so afflicted and their loved ones, whether able to post or not…
Lord Jesus Christ, You have willed that St. Dymphna should be invoked by thousands of clients as the patroness of nervous and mental disease and have brought it about that her interest in these patients should be an inspiration to and an ideal of charity throughout the world. Grant that, through the prayers of this youthful martyr of purity, those who suffer from nervous and mental illness everywhere on earth may be helped and consoled. .

Be pleased to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna and of Your Blessed Mother. Give those whom I recommend the patience to bear with their affliction and resignation to do Your divine will. Give them the consolation they need and especially the cure they so much desire, if it be Your will. Through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil.
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,and
blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now, and
at the hour of our death.
Amen

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, as is and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell,
lead all souls to heaven, especially, those in most need of Your Mercy.
Amen

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone
who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or
sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come,
before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

Praying also to St. Lydwine of Schiedham, patroness of those afflicted with prolonged suffering, for her intercession, St Maximillian Kolbe and Servant of God Fr Nelson Baker.

PRAYER FOR
FREEDOM FROM ADDICTION
Lord Jesus,You said,
“I have come to set the captives free.”
We are captive and need Your healing touch.
Free us, Lord, from our addictions,
so that we will be:
…free from the cares and worries that stifle our happiness;
…free from sins that cling to us, and to which we cling;
…free from all compulsive behavior
that prevents us from becoming what You, Lord,
have planned for us.
Bring us, loving Savior,
to the experience of abundantlife
which You promised.

Amen.

PRAYER
TO SEEK GOD
CONTINUALLY
O Lord my God,
I believe in you,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit…
Insofar as I can,
Insofar as you have given me the power,
I have sought you.
I became weary and I laboured.
O Lord my God,
My sole hope,
help me to believe
And never to cease seeking you.
Grant that I may always and ardently
Seek out your countenance.
Give me the strength to seek you,
For you help me to find you
And you have more and more given me
the hope of finding you.
Here I am before you
With my firmness and my infirmity.
Preserve the first and heal the second…
Here I am before you
With my strength and my ignorance.
Where you have opened the door to me,
Welcome me at the entrance;
Where you have closed the door to me,
Open to my cry;
Enable me to remember you,
To understand you,
And to love you.

Amen.

(Prayer of St. Augustine of Hippo)

THE PRAYER
O SACRED HEAD
(By St. Bernard Of Clairvaux)
O Sacred Head surrounded
By crown of piercing thorn!
O bleeding Head, so wounded,
Reviled and put to scorn!
Death’s pallid hue comes o’er Thee,
The glow of life decays,
Yet angel hosts adore Thee
And tremble as they gaze.

I see Thy strength and vigor
All fading in the strife,
And death, with cruel vigor,
Bereaving Thee of life;
O agony and dying!
O love to sinners free!
Jesus, all grace supplying,
O turn Thy face on me!

In this Thy bitter Passion,
Good Shepherd, think. of me,
With Thy most sweet compassion,
Unworthy though I be;
Beneath Thy Cross abiding,
'Forever would I rest,
In Thy dear love confiding,
And wilth Thy presence blest.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.

Oh Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke your powerful name, the protection of the living and the salvation of the dying. Purest Mary, let your name henceforth be ever on my lips. What a consolation, what sweetness, what confidence fills my soul when I utter your sacred name or even only think of you! I thank the Lord for having given you so sweet, so powerful, so lovely a name. But I will not be content with merely uttering your name. Let my love for you prompt me ever to hail you Mother of Perpetual Help. Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for me and grant me the favor I confidently ask of you.Mother Mary please intercede for all those who battle addictions and for all the families who worry for them

From the Imitation of Christ,chapt.20,#3:Would that You,most powerful God of Israel, the lover of all faithful souls, would look upon the sarrow and struggle of your poorest servant, and come to my assistance in all that I must do.Strengthen me,O Lord, with heavenly fortitude,so that the old enemy, the devil and my wretched flesh-not yet fully subject to the spirit-may not prevail over me:for it is against them that I must fight continually during this wretched life.
